Niki, founder of Barre Life Pilates Studio in Oakville (now under new ownership), proudly brings her passion for Pilates to her home community as the founder and owner of The Pilates House in Aylmer and surrounding areas.
With years of expertise and a deep commitment to mindful movement, Niki has created a welcoming space where clients experience her signature approach to Pilates. At The Pilates House, the Aylmer community enjoys the same focus on strength, mobility, and wellness that made Barre Life successful.
After dedicating numerous years to the Toronto Film Industry as a Wardrobe Stylist, she felt a strong pull back to her dance roots and envisioned a perfect fusion of dance and fitness. Armed with over 18 years of Ballet and Contemporary Dance Training, she crafted her own Barre Certification method at Barre Life, with an emphasis on the ballet conditioning that sculpted her own training.
A little over a decade ago, Niki discovered her deep passion for Pilates, drawn to its strong parallels with dance, both disciplines rooted in technical precision, integrity, and biomechanics. This alignment naturally led her to pursue a Full Comprehensive Pilates Certification. She also holds certifications in the Essentrics® method, has served as a Physiotherapy Assistant for the Physiotherapy Clinical Pilates Service at Barre Life, and is a Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) Level 1 certified instructor, specializing in conditioning for young ballet dancers.
Each day, Niki's focus is providing personalized instruction within small group classes, fostering a dedicated and supportive community in Aylmer.
